Where timeless elegance meets modern Midtown
A Historic Address With a Legendary Past
Originally built in 1928 by visionary developer Henry Mandel, The Tuscany has long stood as a symbol of refined Manhattan living. Once home to expansive apartments, our rooms remain among the most spacious in the city—averaging 400 square feet. Known as “New York’s Biggest Little Hotel,” The Tuscany has hosted iconic figures such as Marilyn Monroe, Groucho Marx, Gregory Peck, and Gloria Vanderbilt. Even Audrey Hepburn is said to have once called the building home.
Modern Luxury Rooted in Character
Today, The Tuscany blends its historic charm with modern sophistication. Located just minutes from Grand Central Station and Bryant Park, we’re a peaceful retreat amid the energy of Midtown. Our design celebrates tactile luxury—velvet textures, wood accents, custom artwork, and striking lighting all contribute to a sense of place and presence.
